Dr. Leena brings with her an impressive overall experience of over 15 years, including 7 years in the UAE. She earned her master’s degree in clinical pathology from the prestigious JSS Medical College, Mysore, India, and completed her Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in clinical pathology from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, India.
She is a certified internal auditor for ISO 15189:2022 and is actively involved in various quality improvement initiatives and audits, including DOH, JCIA, ISO 15189, and ISO 9001. Dedicated to continuous professional development, she actively promotes the adoption of evidence-based practices in pathology and ensures compliance with international accreditation standards to maintain excellence in laboratory services.
Dr. Leena has also completed a short-term observership at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology and has been awarded a fellowship from the Royal College of Pathologists (UK) in histopathology.
Previously, she served as an assistant professor and associate professor of pathology at Father Muller Medical College, where she gained extensive experience in postgraduate teaching and research. She also held the position of deputy quality manager in the Cytopathology Section, contributing significantly to its NABL accreditation. Additionally, she pioneered the reporting of immunofluorescence microscopy for skin lesions.
